How to measure Door height from Door frame (chaukhat)-

Every home, every room needs a door for privacy and how can we determine its size. It cannot be done just by looking at it or by any small measuring tape. Either it should be done by a professional carpenter or if you are doing it yourself always use a standard measuring tape for correct and accurate size of the readymade doors. 

Firstly, lets start measuring height of the door with the help of the standard measuring tape.

Measure the height of the door from the inside of the door frame or chaukhat. Now extend the measuring tape from the bottom of the floor to the top of the door frame. First do the same from right side of the door frame or chaukhat and then measure left of the door frame or chaukhat same like the right one from bottom of the floor to the top of the door frame or the plywood door for home chaukhat. 

Now, use the shortest length as the height of the door as it will be the correct door size for the door.

Let’s take up an example- the left side of the door frame height is measured at 81.4 inches and the right of the door chaukhat is 82 inches so the height of the door will be considered as 81.4 inches. readymade doors in lucknow
