How to measure Door width from Door frame (chaukhat)-

Every home, every room needs a door for privacy and how can we determine its size. It cannot be done just by looking at it or by any small measuring tape. Either it should be done by a professional carpenter or if you are doing it yourself always use a standard measuring tape for correct and accurate size of the readymade doors in lucknow. 

Firstly, let’s start measuring width of the door with the help of the standard measuring tape.

Measure the top of the chaukhat of the door from left to right the inside of the door frame or chaukhat. Now measure the middle of the chaukhat from left to right and the bottom of the chaukhat from left to right from the inside of the chaukhat.

Now after the measurement of the width now take the shortest of all three measurements and now this is the width of the readymade door that is required.

Let’s take up an example- the top of the chaukhat from the inside of the chaukhat is measured at 36.6 inches and the middle is measured at 36.8 inches and the bottom is measured at 36.4 inches then the width of the plywood door for home will be the shortest of the all that is 36.4 inches
